Welcome to Divide & Conquer, a new approach to learning Math Online!

As a homeschooling parent, educator, and Co-op Director, I have tried nearly EVERY Math curriculum out there, but found they all lacked at least one critical element, either engagement, rigor, relatability, interaction or personalization. Math is a fascinating subject that is interwoven throughout our lives, but most curricula actually work against true mathematical thinking, breaking math down into dry concepts and memorization of methods, not exciting, creative, reasoning and problem solving.

Finally, after extensive research into what creates lifelong learners who excel in mathematics, I created my own program, combining the latest evidence with the most effective elements of existing resources.

Does it work? My first test subject, my daughter, started and excelled in college math classes at 14 years old. She now tutors other students in Math, and will be completing her first degree at 18.

Your student however is not my child; they have their own strengths, goals, and interests. What I have created is a program that is flexible and adaptable for every student. Small class sizes means students get the benefit of class interaction and engaging content, and unique, personalized instruction. Each class has a maximum of 10 students.

How does it work?

• Classes start in September and run through May
• Students complete and submit the materials online, anytime during the week assigned
• Interactive lessons for the week are uploaded by Monday Morning
• Students have the flexibility to work within their schedule
• Lessons are a combination of videos from various speakers, direct instruction, games, practice, individual projects, and group projects
• Lessons are Choose- Your- Own- Adventure, as students are given choices, and personalized options
• Students will also gain familiarity with the google suite of products, as they create web sites, blogs, slideshows, spreadsheets and more
• Going on vacation? Simply email me to let me know and your student can either work ahead or catch up the following week
• No busy-work! Students can proceed through lessons and move on when they are ready!
• Extra-depth is always offered for kids that want to dig deeper
• Parents receive regular reports as they desire and can check in at anytime
• Parents receive grades, a log of work completed and access to completed lessons - everything they need for the portfolio (in PA) done by mid-May every year. Not in PA? We're happy to meet your state requirements for documentation!
